Pennywort A.K.A Pegaga In Da House......


This edible species of pennywort was sowed from cuttings of leftover bunch we bought at the fresh market....Definitely bugs' favourite source of food compared to the other species we have in the garden...We could hardly see the leaves on this plant for a long time because it would disappear from your sight so fast when it managed to develop some leaves......This goes on until we planted some basil in the same pot,then it stops disappearing...:)


This is another edible species of pennywort given by my friend....Not bugs' favourite obviously, because we did not face the same problem as we faced with the other species. This is also delicious tastewise, but i don't really like the texture of the leaves compared to the other one because it's kinda waxy/too glossy...But in my experience,this is easier to grow compared to the other one....Maybe the soil is not suitable to grow the other species, because as far as i know, pennywort/pegaga is not hard to grow...:)

      Wsalam Ana.....tuh la...selalu dok baca pasal companion/buddy system ni...tp mula2 tak terfikir pegaga pon nak kena serang....mmg nmpk sgt daun dah tak hilang lepas tanam basil dekat dia...:)

    Lynna, am prefer the first pegaga as well. But you can add the second pegaga in you fresh garden salad.How I wish to meet you and boleh share macam-macam benda pasal kebun ni hahaha

      Honey..both pegaga pon ok utk makan mentah je or ltk dlm masak lemak....ada yg buat rendang jgk pegaga ni...but i prefer it raw.....i pon baru blaja gardening ni....selalu baca & tanya encik google je hehehe insyaAllah....mana tau ada rezeki kita jumpa in person....:)

    Duk baca2..apa penny penny ni..ingatkan duit..haha..pegaga rupanya...sya suka daun pegaga ni..tapi agak liat kut nk kunyah..hehe..baru tahu basil buddy dgn daun pegaga ni..sbb bau basil tu kuat sgt eh..serangga x mau dekat..
