Vietnamese Spring Rolls...

The best thing about having your own edible garden is that u will always have the freshest ingredients easily available within your reach just about any time you need it. This is what I love the most about edible gardening. Be creative with what you have in the garden and there it is, a scrumptious meal on your table...ready to be devoured with your loved ones...:)

Spring Onion & Basil (in the black pot)

Made this last Sunday. Both ingredients goes into my Vietnamese Springrolls. Like I've said earlier, be creative with your choice of veggie fillings... Tomatoes & those thinly sliced celery sticks are from Tesco LOL. Can't wait to have 100% ingredients from my garden. (But I'm not keen on  the idea of having my own shrimp pond at home....gila geli nak siang udang hidup2 menggeletis dpn mata...hahaha  :P)

“Cookbooks hit you where you live. You want comfort; you want security; you want food; you want to not be hungry and not only do you want those basic things fixed, you want it done in a really nice, gentle way that makes you feel loved. That’s a big desire, and cookbooks say to the person reading them, ‘If you will read me, you will be able to do this for yourself and for others. You will make everybody feel better.’ ~ Laurie Colwin, More Home Cooking
